This is a great piece of first aid gear, and a great starter kit for a couple of campers, hikers, etc. as their first kit. If your tackling the Appalachian Trail or something like an extended trip, you're probably not going to want something this big, but for just going out for a weekend or so this will work great. Once I get a few more trails/campsites under my belt, I think I'll eventually pair this kit down to the bare essentials into a ziplock bag to go minimalist. I really like the activity specific pieces in this kit, like the moleskin, tick picker, and even some duct tape. The moleskin is great for hotspots on the feet when your hiking/backpacking to prevent a blister from forming. I went through all of the items in this kit and theirs really not any that I would go, "Meh, I don't really need that.", or if I did find one, I'd go, "But, I could see myself using that." Maybe I'm a worry-wort, but I do want to be prepared. This gives me the peace of mind knowing I have most anything needed for myself and my wife on backpacking trips.
